It is necessary for the proper course of the blood clotting process, the striated muscles' contractions and the heart muscle's contractions. It conditions the proper nerve conduction process. It maintains the electrolytic balance of the organism. It influences the activity of many enzymes of the metabolic pathways. Calcium has an anti-inflammatory, anti-oedematous and anti-allergic effect due to the stabilization of the blood vessels' walls. Vitamin D3 regulates calcium's assimilation (Ca+2). It is essential for the proper growth and development of the organism.
