printOn Saturday, 22 September 2012 at 12.00 noon, following a short yet extremely spectacular warm-up, more than 800 people set off with their Nordic walking poles on a trail of picturesque historic monuments of Toruń.
The "Move Toruń" campaign was organized by the Neuca Company, the biggest pharmaceuticals wholesale distributor in Poland, which wanted to encourage the inhabitants of Toruń to participate in active recreation forms. Our Company also joined the campaign; with our innovative preparation, Artresan Active, we support events popularizing a healthy and active style of life.

The intergenerational walk was attended by children, adolescents, families with babies, as well as senior citizens and disabled people. For all those who like to spend their free time actively, it was a wonderful dose of exercise, but it was also a charity event. Neuca promised to donate PLN 2.00 to the account of the Foundation for Haematology Research for every kilometre walked by each registered participant of the march.
Before the start of the WALKATHON, experienced instructors gave a short demonstration of the proper Nordic walking technique, and later they ensured the safety of the participants.
The entire route was 4 kilometres long and every participant could well manage such distance. At the end of the march, every participant received samples of Artresan Active – a preparation protecting, strengthening and regenerating the joints, so that they could take care of their joints and their fitness.
After the march, in Rynek Nowomiejski, the participants could take advantage of numerous attractions - free of charge medical advice, demonstrations of zumba and Krav Maga, competitions with prizes, and stands full of surprises.
