ASA is a partner of the Women of Success Week

The Women of Success Week held in Warsaw from 5 to 9 March 2012 is a cyclical project organized by the Polish Students' Association, the oldest student organization in Poland, existing at the Warsaw School of Economics since 2006.

The Women of Success Week is 7 days filled with attractions intended especially for women.  Every year the female students of the Warsaw University, the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, the Warsaw University of Technology, the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University and other schools of higher education in Warsaw have an opportunity to participate in numerous workshops and training classes.
The ladies can meet with experts in many fields, e.g. medicine, business, politics, psychology, art, and sport. Due to such meetings, the students can increase their vocational qualifications, and develop interests and passions.  Dr Ewa Woydyłło, Kinga Rusin and Katarzyna Kolenda-Zalewska were invited to participate in this year's edition of the event.

ASA, which has been actively supporting pro-health education and preventive activities for 12 years, is also a partner of the event this year. The company organizes workshops and meetings with specialists who share their knowledge and experience with us and thus support the development of Polish women.

Students had an opportunity to participate in a lecture given by Dr Jacek Tomaszewski, a second-degree specialist in gynaecology and obstetrics, an assistant in the Second Faculty and Gynaecological Clinic at the Medical University in Lublin, concerning issues related to cervical cancer and contraception. Dr Tomaszewski presented the latest news from the world scholarly associations and informed the participants of the importance of preventive treatment and regular medical check-ups for their intimate health. He also answered many questions related to contraception and sexual health.

The ladies could also do something for their bodies.  "Defend yourself" - a self-defence workshop for women conducted by Robert Moskwa, a medallist in the European Karate Championships (2nd Dan) and an actor known from the TV series "L for Love", comprised a theoretical lecture in which issues of self-defence and its historical and social conditionings were presented, as well as practical exercises during which the participants could practise effective self-defence techniques. The ladies were very enthusiastic about the secrets of self-defence, and they enjoyed the exercises very much.

This year's edition of the Women of Success Week was a unique opportunity to participate in meetings and discussions and to exchange views on many subjects. The participants of the lectures gained new information and insights. They understood that their success depends largely on them.
