printBy the end of June the nationwide Conscious Mother intimately campaign ended; its partner was the preparation LaciBios femina.
From January until June 2013 we visited 10 Polish towns in which together with specialists we conducted an educational campaign and developed women's awareness in issues related to their sexuality, intimate health as well as hygiene during pregnancy and after childbirth.
All of these meetings were hosted by an actress and happy mother, the ambassador of the Conscious Mother intimately campaign – Paulina Holtz. We would like to thank Ms Holtz for sharing her own experience as a mother with other women during the workshops and for creating a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere.
The campaign was addressed mainly to pregnant women and women who had become mothers recently. During the workshops, in which fathers also participated, we discussed intimate subjects which are rarely discussed openly. The participants had an opportunity to talk to one another, listen to lectures, and then talk to experts, such as gynaecologists, sexologists, midwives, dieticians, a doula, and to obtain answers to various questions.
One of the specialists who participated in all of the meetings of the Conscious Mother intimately campaign was Dr Marta Monist from the Clinic of Surgical Gynaecology at SPSK no. 4 in Lublin.
Dr Monist discussed some very important issues, such as how to prepare for pregnancy, what medical examinations to have and when, and what to pay special attention to. She also discussed the most frequent risks for intimate health during pregnancy, i.e. vaginal mycosis which affects as many as 50 % of pregnant women, and BV (Bacterial Vaginosis), affecting more than 80% of pregnant women.

We hope that the efforts of ASA and the Conscious Mother campaign aiming at the development of women's awareness of the important role of taking care of their intimate health, with special emphasis on the oral gynaecological probiotic LaciBios femina and the intimate care cleansing gels with the proper pH value will have positive results and Conscious Mothers will be able to enjoy carefree motherhood with no obstacles.
