Intimately? This word brings associations with peacefulness, silence, discretion. During our workshop held on 27 May 2011 in the Amber Room Restaurant in Warsaw the atmosphere was quite different - it was loud, joyful and interactive. And above all, it was honest and wise. As well as tasteful and stylish. Thus, Agata Młynarska's portal onaonaona.com and our Company, the manufacturer of the oral gynaecological preparation LaciBios femina, are creating the notion of NEW INTIMACY.
Keep going
The first time was a heavy blow. It started with a workshop for journalists. We decided to speak in a loud voice about intimate things. We talked about "the special task of journalists", since it is journalists representing various media who by means of their pens and cameras can shape our pro-health attitudes. We were honoured by the presence of Magda Schejbal, Beata Tadla, Paulina Sykut. We felt like partners acting in a just mission - to overcome the taboo of women's intimate health and sexuality. Then it was necessary to take another step - another workshop, this time with the readers of the onaonaona.com portal. Alicja Węgorzewska, Grażyna Wolszczak and Joanna Kurowska - celebrities and simultaneously beautiful and wise women - honoured us with their presence.
Our leaders
A lecture on intimate health was delivered by Dr. Jacek Tomaszewski, a gynaecologist-obstetrician. Moving words, a lively discussion. And certainly a reason for a serious thought: How do I take care of my own intimate health?... What else should I pay attention to? Next, Justyna Błaszczyk, a coach from the Coaching and Inspiration Academy and Dr. Małgorzata Zaryczna, a sexologist and psychologist, invited the readers to a discussion. Dr. Zaryczna is a therapist; she deals with anxiety and sexual disorders therapy, in particular with problems related to the decrease or loss of sexual needs. Together with Justyna Błaszczyk, she triggered a spontaneous and open discussion about our sexuality and awareness of our sexual needs.
Without a veil
We had a lively discussion on various myths concerning women's sexuality and their relations with partners. Our Company and the onaonaona.com portal are conducting a campaign of speaking out loud about intimate matters and overcoming taboos."Our sexuality and women's intimate health are still topics about which we cannot speak openly. I think that the reasons for that are deeply rooted in our culture and morality. This makes us feel awkward and we remain in some invisible fetters of a taboo which does not allow us to speak honestly about the power of femininity" says Joanna Regucka, Marketing Manager in ASA.
From words to actions
The atmosphere during the workshop was favourable to an honest and open discussion. Inhibitions, embarrassment? Not us. On the other hand, it is clear that women feel unsatisfied because of the scarcity of such meetings and topics. Who does not want from time to time to speak about THESE things in a cosy and safe atmosphere? We all do!
