printLast Sunday, 15 June 2014, the Provincial Rheumatology Team and the"Tri-City Profile" Civilization Disease Prevention Foundation organized a Sunday for Health. It was held under the patronage of the President of the City of Sopot and the City Council. Our Company also participated in the event; we invited the inhabitants to take advantage of free-of-charge blood pressure and glucose and cholesterol level tests.
As it turned out, it was a unique event with numerous attractions, not only for the inhabitants of the Tri-City, but for the visitors, including the patients of the health resort, as well. Shared exercises at the saline lake, breathing exercises, counselling offered by specialists, including dieticians, physicians (e.g. a rheumatologist, orthopaedist, cardiologist, dermatologist, …), but above all an opportunity to take advantage of free-of-charge tests (sugar level in blood, spirometry - the lung volumes test, a specialist examination of the feet, a body composition analysis, a visual acuity test ….) and many chances to taste healthy food, as well as to win wonderful prizes attracted several thousands of people to the Balneological Centre in Sopot that day.
Many of those people who visited our stand still do not check their blood pressure regularly and do not take care of the proper cholesterol level. We hope that thanks to this event, our activities and all the informational and educational materials we presented many people will start thinking of their health and take care of themselves not only on holidays.
