On 26 September 2011 in Kiernozia near Łowicz, a disease prevention campaign was held; it comprised, for instance, free mammography and densitometric examinations for the local population.

"Letnisko Księży Młyn" [Księży Młyn Summer Resort] is an initiative of Łódź Art Center and Gazeta Wyborcza daily addressed to all the inhabitants of the city of Łódź who want to spend the summer in the city in a creative and unconventional way.
