The 4th edition of the BajkOLAndia charity event, originated and organized by Aleksandra Mikołajczyk, an actress known from the TV series "Na Wspólnej" [Wspólna Street], attracted many people to the Children's Health Institute. Among the guests there were Marta Kielczyk, Agnieszka Wielgosz, Jadwiga Gryń, Władysław Grzywna, children, pupils from the Argonaut International School, patients from the Children's Health Institute and their parents.
On 25 April the show room at the Children's Health Institute was transformed into a fairy world permeated with children's joy, in which healthy children played with the sick ones. The invited guests could watch a theatrical performance, a vocal and dancing performance of children from the Argonaut International School, as well as a fashion show. It was a real roller-coaster of emotions and attractions.
First, the young actors appeared on the stage; they were trained by Aleksandra Mikołajczyk during acting classes conducted by her. They presented their skills in a performance based on Jan Brzechwa's and Julian Tuwim's poetry. Next, Zuzanna Madej, a junior secondary school pupil, enchanted and moved everyone deeply with her singing, and the young dancers' performance under the artistic supervision of Paulina Tomkalska filled everyone with joy.
Finally, there was a Vippi Design fashion show, presenting the latest collection of children's fashion, in which the models were pupils from the Argonaut International School and patients from the Children's Health Institute. It was a joyful experience both for the parents and the young models.
A snack as well as a prize draw were additional attractions during the event, which, just like the entire campaign, did not end on that April Saturday. It will be continued in a second part – BajkOLAndia Bis. This event is to take place on 23 May between 1 pm and 5 pm in the Argonaut International School as part of the celebrations of the 5th anniversary of the ARGONAUT International Schools. Everyone will get a chance to participate in the prize draw and win very attractive prizes, as every ticket is a winning one! The money collected during this event will be spent on various educational workshops for children in the Children's Health Institute.
Marta Kielczyk and Agnieszka Wielgosz are the ambassadors of the event this year. After stage performances with Aleksandra Mikołajczyk they all visited patients in the Cardiosurgery Clinic and Ophthalmology Clinic who could not participate in the event.
Let us remember that BajkOLAndia is a cyclic event the objective of which is to help various children, and therefore every year it cooperates with a particular foundation. In 2012 they cooperated with Jolanta Kwaśniewska's foundation Communication Without Barriers. In the following years they supported the "I have a heart" Foundation and the Friend Foundation. This year, cooperation has been initiated with the Creative Institute of Ideas Promotion Foundation.
