ASA is the partner of the Second Congress of Women in Małopolska

1200 participants as well as 20 non-governmental organizations from Małopolska and several partner firms took part in the Second Congress of Women in Małopolska held on 7 March 2015 in the ICE Congress Centre Kraków. ASA, who has supported cultural and educational projects addressed to women for many years, also participated in the Congress.

During the Congress of Women in Kraków women could learn more about ASA's products dedicated to women's health. LaciBios femina, Novocardia Lady 45+, ProUro, Menoplant are just some of the products the ladies could get more information about. Maria Anna Brzegowy, MSc, a dietician invited by our Company, also  provided all interested persons with advice concerning proper nutrition and supplementation, e.g. talking about omega-3 acids, plant sterols, iron, or the properties and importance of cranberry and probiotics.

In the participants' and observers' opinions, this edition of the Congress of Women under the honorary patronage of Anna Komorowska, the wife of the President of the Republic of Poland, was a great success. Meaningful, non-commercial discussion panels with the participation of outstanding experts, women of science, culture and art, journalists and hosts, as well as interesting exhibitions, partner stands and splendid organization - all that was at a very high level, bearing in mind that the event was organized by the Women's Bridge Association and volunteers only.

One of the most interesting panels was the one entitled "A conscious style of life". Specialists from many various fields, including famous and valued physicians, physiotherapists, a nutritional psychologist, a physiologist, fitness instructors, participated in it. The lecturers included

• Ida Cedrych, MD - an oncologist and internal disease specialist. She is the Head of the Systemic and General Neoplasm Clinic at the Oncology Centre in Kraków; she is interested in a broadly understood healthy style of life, she is the author of a blog on dietary supplements and certain aspects of natural medicine.
• Ewa Koza - a nutritional psychologist who works with patients in individual sessions as well as in workshop groups. 
• Prof. dr hab. Piotr Pieniążek - an outstanding Polish interventional cardiologist, a second-degree specialist in internal diseases and cardiology. He is not only an excellent cardiologist, but also a kind-hearted person, always willing to offer help and advice.

"We are interested in the environment in which we live, and in the ways to make it better. We attempt to learn more about ourselves in order to live longer and better lives, and we return to natural products. We simply start taking care of ourselves in a conscious way." Why do women need this awareness? This is what the panel was about. This is also what we talked about at ASA' stand, visited by almost all the Congress participants.
