"Let us talk about health" is the title of a series of meetings popularizing the latest methods of prevention of civilization-related diseases (such as cancer, cardiovascular system diseases, obesity). Organized by Image Line Communications uninterruptedly since 2007, they still enjoy great popularity. Several thousand inhabitants of Kraków have participated in them so far. Ms Jolanta Kwaśniewska, the former first lady, was actively involved in the promotion of knowledge of health and disease prevention during the first edition of the series.
According to the author of the programme, Agata Niemiec from Image Line Communications, Poles are convinced that if they are not bothered by any ailments and they suffer from no pains, then everything is all right. They are not aware of the fact that the symptoms of many diseases are felt only in the final stage of the disease.
The invited guests - experts - raise women's awareness of the importance of prophylactic examinations, since it is women who most frequently take care of the entire family's health. They remind them to have regular medical examinations and to promote prophylaxis in their own families, and even among their co-workers and friends.
This campaign attracts more and more people, which can be proved by the number of people regularly attending the meetings in order to talk about their health. ASA has also joined the campaign.
This time, the central theme of the meeting held on 30 November 2011 was women's intimate health. The special guest of the meeting was the popular journalist, Agata Młynarska, who in cooperation with ASA, the manufacturer of LaciBios femina, the oral gynaecological probiotic, conducted a workshop entitled "She Intimately".
Agata Młynarska talked about her own experiences, encouraged women to take care of their health and to have regular prophylactic examinations, to practice recreational sports and - what is especially difficult - to overcome the barrier of shame in conversations concerning intimate health.
I would like Polish women to treat their own bodies with respect and not to be ashamed of asking questions concerning their intimate health. There is no other way to change women's attitudes and awareness than solid education, said Agata Młynarska.
All women participating in the meeting had already known how important health was, but they learned even more from the experts, in particular, what women should be especially aware of as far as their intimate health and sexuality are concerned.
Hence, if we do know that our intimate health requires our special care, let us take care of it responsibly and regularly. How should we do it? The key to change women's way of thinking and acting is to constantly inform them about the risk factors, prevention methods and threats resulting from a passive attitude to their health.
Dr Jacek Tomaszewski, a specialist gynaecologist, tried to convince the women participating in the meeting of the necessity of active prophylaxis. In a workshop entitled "All you should know about your intimate health", he reminded women that vaginal infections or illnesses of the urogenital system can affect every one of us and at every age. Only a woman aware of the importance of disease prevention and controlling her health conditions is able to protect herself from such problems. Following just a few basic principles in our everyday life is enough to make us feel safer.
One of the most effective ways of combating the ailments of the urogenital system and allowing the restoration of its optimal physiological state is a regular use of the oral gynaecological probiotic (LaciBios femina). It contains specially selected probiotic bacteria strains the effectiveness of which has been confirmed by numerous tests around the world and in Poland. The probiotic strains in LaciBios femina influence favourably the microflora of the vagina, protecting and strengthening it, and additionally restoring the acidic pH level of the vagina, which is a natural barrier for pathogenic micro-organisms.
All of the remaining issues discussed during the meeting, and in particular those concerning female sexuality, discussed with Grażyna Wójcik-Olszewska, a clinical sexologist, and a presentation on borreliosis made by Dr Andrzej Marszałek, proved the main message of the meeting.
We should talk about our health but what is most important is that we should always take care of it.
The participants of the meeting could also consult Dr Joanna Kuschill-Dziurda from the MEDestetis Institute, who explained what hyaluronic acid was and whether it was worth injecting it in the skin.
The meeting entitled "Let us talk about health", including also intimate health, confirmed the fact that a beautiful woman is a healthy and happy woman!
All of the participants of the workshop received little souvenirs and promotional materials, and an additional attraction was a prize draw conducted by Agata Młynarska and Agata Niemiec.
