Osteovit D3 Forte contains calcium carbonate which is a source of ionized calcium (Ca2+). Calcium participates in bone formation and mineralization1. It supports the proper functioning of the muscles1a. It supports the proper nerve conduction process1b and blood coagulability1c. Calcium is also an element of the body's electrolyte balance. Calcium contributes to maintaining proper energy metabolism1d as it influences the activity of many enzymes in the metabolic pathway.
Vitamin D regulates calcium absorption and its proper level in blood 2,2c. It helps to maintain healthy bones2a and proper functioning of muscles in our bodies2b
For whom is Osteovit D3 Forte recommended? Osteovit D3 Forte is recommended for:
- women in the pre-menopausal and menopausal periods. Calcium and vitamin D help to reduce the loss of minerals important for bone formation in women aged 50 and older in the post-menopausal period3. Supportively, to maintain healthy bones,
- people of both sexes aged 60 and more 2d due to their increased vitamin D demand,
- people immobilised for a long time,
- people who want to supplement vitamin D3 and calcium insufficiencies in their bodies.
COMPOSITION (per 1 tablet): calcium carbonate 1475 mg, being equivalent to 500 mg of calcium ions (Ca2+); microcrystalline cellulose, cellulose gel (additional substance, filling substance); magnesium stearide (anti-caking substance, additional substance), hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (additional substance, binding substance); polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) (additional substance, binding substance); cross-linked carboxymethylcellulose sodium salt, cross-linked cellulose gum (additional substance, carrier); vitamin D (in the form of vitamin D3 as cholecalciferol) – 25 μg (1000 mass units)
DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS FOR USE: 1 capsule twice a day, with a small amount of fluid. It is recommended to take the preparation during a meal because of better availability of active substances.

3 Calcium and vitamin D help reduce the loss of minerals important for bone formation in women aged 50 and older in the post-menopausal period. Low bone mineral density is a risk factor in osteoporotic bone fractures. A beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of at least 1200 mg of calcium and 20 µg of vitamin D from all available sources.
This claim is addressed to women aged 50 and older. |
